Bwindi 85k Ultra - Uganda’s toughest run

The Bwindi 85k Ultra Marathon, set to take place in February 2025, is not just the longest ultra run in Uganda; it is also a significant event aimed at raising awareness for better vision and combating the stigma associated with eye conditions. This challenging run, stretching from Kabale to Kisoro, is designed to draw attention to the importance of eye health and the challenges faced by individuals with visual impairments.

Our team is taking on this "easy" 85k running challenge to demonstrate commitment and solidarity with those who struggle daily with eye conditions. By traversing the rugged and scenic trails of Bwindi, runners will highlight the need for better vision care and support services in Uganda and beyond. The marathon offers an opportunity for participants and supporters to unite in a common cause, promoting inclusivity and understanding.

Sponsorship for this event is crucial. Those willing to support our mission can easily reach out to us to discuss sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorship funds will go towards organizing the marathon, providing necessary resources for participants, and, most importantly, supporting initiatives aimed at improving eye care services and fighting the stigma that surrounds eye conditions.

We invite everyone interested in joining the run to stay tuned for more updates. By participating, you can play an active role in advocating for better eye health and supporting those affected by visual impairments. Your involvement, whether as a runner, sponsor, or supporter, will help create a more inclusive and understanding society.

To those considering joining us, leave a comment or reach out to us directly. Together, we can make a significant impact and ensure that no one is held back by eye conditions or the associated stigma. Let's run for better vision and a more inclusive future!
